about me

Hi there! My name is Skye,
I'm a 2D animator and illustrator who goes by Pikupa! I enjoy various aesthetics of art and streaming my art on Twitch.
~
I've been drawing my whole life, but I was convinced I wouldn't be able to make a decent living off it. Instead, I majored in Japanese and had a general art minor so I could still work on my skills lowkey.
~
I have a deep passion for art and I'll work to do anything to make art my full time job!
I'm working everyday to challenge myself and to never stop improving.
~
I want my art to speak on the importance of pain and suffering. I want to make people feel heard through my art and encourage people to look at life through a positive perspective. No matter the circumstance, there is always hope.

Magical Girl March

What I learned

Date: March 1-31, 2021

I noticed significant improvement from my first piece to my last one. I started to become more relaxed and focused on what I wanted to show the viewer. I played with interesting perspectives and line weight, flirted with different textures and overall mood, and for some I focused more on overall composition with a more painterly feel. This showed me great improvement can be made even in such a short time as long as one is consistent and never gives up!
